Det filippinske hjelpesamfunn i Norge or The Filipino Helping Society in Norway was founded on November 12, 2013 under the original name Hånd i hånd i å løfte Filippinene or Kapit-kamay ibangon ang Pilipinas in response to Typhoon Yolanda (International name Haiyan) which struck the Philippines.
In 2020 we have relaunched the Organization under its new name, FHS in response to another cyclone Typhoon Ulysses (International name Vamco) and later expanded our services and target groups in 2021.
Are you passionate to help? Utilize your skills, competence and talents in serving others through FHS.
FHS performs integration and voluntary works primarily aimed at Filipinos who live in Norway, but may also apply to other minority groups and Filipinos living in the Philippines.
